Hey I’m Najib Timbul — Founder & Head coach of the school.
I was born in East Java and came to Bali as a kid. The beach quickly became part of my everyday life. My first steps with the surfing life were helping at the shore, moving boards, watching the surfers, feeling the ocean closer each day. I wasn’t surfing — not yet. I was just stoked to be near the water .
One day I tried a board. Fell, paddled back. Tried again. Fell again. Kept going until I fell in love with the waves — and they never let me go.
Over time, I found my rhythm. I discovered the beauty of dancing on a longboard and the freedom of gliding on a mid-length. That’s where I really connected with style, timing, and flow. Every board became a new conversation with the ocean.
Surf taught me patience, balance, and presence — in the water and in life. Years later , after thousands of sessions, reef cuts, wipeouts and small wins, I started teaching. And that’s where I found something deeper the joy of watching others ride the wave. Now, this school is my way of sharing that journey. From pemula (beginner) to advanced, from city stress to island rhythm — you’re welcome here.
